Phoebe Bridgers Sets First Solo Show in 3 Years for Roswell
phoebe bridgers will play her first solo show in three years on Friday, May 8, at the Liberty in Roswell, New Mexico. The booking points to a small-room return after a stretch that kept her tied to boygenius and away from solo staging.
Roswell Flyer At 400 Capacity
The show was first spotted by social media users through a printed flyer, and it is not yet listed on the Liberty's site or on Bridgers' own site. That makes the Roswell date a quiet, low-friction announcement rather than a formal rollout, even with the club's 400-person capacity.
Bridgers last played solo in the spring of 2023 at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium, when she was also opening for Taylor Swift on the Eras Tour. Since then, her public performance trail has mostly run through group work rather than a separate solo campaign.
Spring 2023 To 2020
boygenius stayed active around that period, appearing on Saturday Night Live in November 2023 and then playing a pair of acoustic shows the following February at the Smell in Los Angeles, where the trio announced its hiatus. Bridgers' most recent solo album, Punisher, came out in 2020, so the Roswell booking lands after a long gap in both solo touring and solo-album activity.
In January 2023, Bridgers said, "Keeping interiority while sharing so much of yourself with the world is hard," and added, "If I was going on a solo-album campaign right now, I wouldn’t. I’d need a break." Friday's show reads like the first step out of that break: one small club, one night, and a return to solo work on a scale that keeps the stakes manageable.
