Jennifer Meyer Says 49-Year-Old Pregnancy Is a Whole New World

Jennifer Meyer says jennifer meyer is pregnant at 49 and calling the experience “a whole new world” while preparing to welcome baby No. 3. The jewelry designer said she feels “really awesome” this time, even as she stays more cautious than she was with her earlier pregnancies.

Geoff Ogunlesi and baby No. 3

Meyer announced in December 2025 that she was expecting her third child, her first with fiancé Geoff Ogunlesi. She captioned the Instagram post, “Hey baby girl ? We love love love you!!” That makes the current pregnancy a new chapter for Meyer, who already shares Ruby, 19, and Otis, 16, with ex-husband Tobey Maguire.

On Thursday, May 7, she said being pregnant later in life feels different because she was “so much younger” with her first two children. “So it was a different mentality. And now I know everything and what to expect,” she said, putting the contrast between her earlier pregnancies and this one in plain terms.

Ruby and Otis React

At home, the response from Ruby and Otis has been enthusiastic. Meyer said, “They were really cute about it and they’re really excited about it,” which gives the family side of the story its clearest update: this is not just a new pregnancy, but a new sibling arriving in a household with two teenagers already in place.

The age difference also brings a practical shift. Meyer said, “It’s a little more exhausting at this stage, but I feel amazing. I love it. I feel really good. I’ve had a really awesome pregnancy. Thank God. It’s been really good. I think I’ve manifested hard.” She also said, “And also, you’re cautious. I’m not 25, so it’s like, ‘Oh my God, I’m pregnant.’ It’s so exciting.”

Parenting in this phase

That caution is paired with a change in how she wants to handle parenting now. Meyer said she was “so full-time” with her first two children, adding, “I did everything all night long. I breastfed 24/7. I never had a night nurse, never had anyone doing anything for me like that.” This time, she said, “I’ve learned at this stage in life, it’s OK to ask for help. It’s OK to not be Superwoman with everything.”

For Meyer, the story is less about celebrity gloss than about timing, experience, and support. She said, “To get to be able to do it again at this point in my life with this person that I love so much, it was really cool,” and ended the interview by saying she feels like she is having “a fairytale experience” in her life right now.
