Garbrandt Draws Yanez for July 11 Ufc 329 Undercard

Cody Garbrandt is scheduled to fight Adrian Yanez on the ufc 329 undercard on July 11. The bout adds a former UFC bantamweight champion to International Fight Week and gives Garbrandt another chance to keep moving after a recent win.

Garbrandt Returns to the Card

Garbrandt comes in after a gritty win over Xiao Long at UFC 326 earlier this year. That snapped back-to-back losses to Raoni Barcelos and Deiveson Figueiredo and put him back in the win column before this booking arrived.

The matchup gives him a path to build on that result against a bantamweight who has had a far less stable stretch. At 135 lbs, both fighters are still trying to strengthen their place in a division where one good night can shift the conversation quickly.

Yanez Brings a Mixed Run

Yanez has not won since a first-round TKO victory over Vinicius Salvador in May 2024. Since then, he lost a controversial split decision to Daniel Marcos in December 2024, sat out 2025, and fought Ricky Simon to a split draw in March.

He also entered that stretch after winning his first five UFC fights before losses to Rob Font and Jonathan Martinez slowed him down. The Garbrandt pairing now gives him a chance to reset against a recognizable name on a major card.

Ufc 329 Card Takes Shape

UFC CEO Dana White has hinted that an announcement about Conor McGregor’s comeback is imminent, and Garbrandt is set to fight on that rumored return card. The full UFC 329 lineup is expected to be finalized and announced in the coming weeks, with the Garbrandt-Yanez bout already in place for July 11.

For fans tracking the card, the matchup is now one of the first concrete pieces of UFC 329. For both fighters, it is a direct chance to change the tone of their 135-pound campaigns before the rest of the lineup is set.
