Dillon Danis Listed in UFC 328 Ban Group Alongside Sneako, Mark Hunt
Dillon Danis shared an image on Friday that appeared to list the people barred from UFC 328, and his own name was on it. The former Bellator fighter will not be allowed inside the Newark event on Saturday, where Khamzat Chimaev meets Sean Strickland in the main event.
Danis and the UFC 328 list
The image showed Danis, Sneako and Mark Hunt among those excluded from the card. A post accompanying the image read, "Dillon Danis shared what appears to be a list of people banned from UFC 328 this weekend" and "Dillon Danis, Sneako and Mark Hunt are included on the list ?".
Danis was not a surprising omission. He has been involved in multiple brawls at UFC events before, and in 2018 he sparked a violent incident with Khabib Nurmagomedov’s team. That history made his absence part of the story well before UFC 328 opened in Newark.
Mark Hunt's UFC fallout
Hunt’s inclusion carried a different kind of weight. He once fought for the interim heavyweight title, but his relationship with the UFC was later described as beyond repair after a highly publicized lawsuit tied to Brock Lesnar’s use of banned substances in their meeting at UFC 200.
Sneako’s name put another public figure on the list, and the image made clear the ban was not limited to one type of personality or one corner of the UFC’s orbit. For fans heading to Newark, the practical takeaway was simple: the listed names were not getting in, and Danis had already put that fact in front of everyone before Saturday’s card.
Newark card stakes
UFC 328 went ahead in Newark with Chimaev-Strickland at the top of the bill, while the ban list shaped the conversation around who would be kept outside the arena. Danis turned the security issue into the first storyline of the weekend, and the image made the roster of barred names impossible to miss.
