Disney Cruise Line Cancels May 7 Sailing — Disney Adventure Cruise Cancellation
Disney Cruise Line's disney adventure cruise cancellation hit after passengers had already boarded in Singapore on May 7, 2026. Guests were asked to prepare to disembark after spending time on the ship while it remained docked in port.
Disney Adventure in Singapore
The line said it could not proceed with the Disney Adventure experience from May 7-11, 2026 as planned. A spokesperson said the ship remained in port in Singapore while teams continued to address a mechanical issue, and that the issue had not been resolved in the time required to start the voyage.
That sequence makes this a costlier disruption than a standard port-side delay. Passengers were already on board when the sailing was pulled, which turns a schedule change into a same-day logistics problem for travelers who had expected to leave on a three- and four-night cruise from the Marina Bay Cruise Centre.
Refunds, Hotel, Flight Fees
Disney Cruise Line is giving impacted passengers full refunds and 50% off a future Disney cruise. It also arranged a complimentary hotel stay, is covering flight change fees, and is offering up to $500 per stateroom for other incidentals.
The company wrote to guests, "We are truly sorry to let you know that we are unable to proceed with your Disney Adventure experience from May 7-11, 2026 as planned. We fully understand how upsetting and disappointing this news is, and we realize this is not the experience you were looking forward to". For travelers who had already boarded, that package is the immediate path out: get off the ship, use the hotel night, and sort the next leg without absorbing the full cost of the disruption.
May 11 Keeps Moving
The next sailing scheduled to depart on May 11 is expected to take place as planned. The ship remains docked in Singapore while it undergoes repairs, and the May 7 cancellation leaves Disney trying to protect the next departure while it works through an operational fault on the 6,700-passenger ship.
The Disney Adventure began welcoming passengers in March, and its inaugural season has already faced setbacks, including reports from earlier voyages of missing mattresses and changes to the entertainment lineup. For a vessel Disney has positioned as its biggest and most theme-park-like cruise ship yet, the May 7 cancellation reads less like a one-off and more like a test of whether the line can stabilize the product fast enough to keep the Singapore schedule intact.
