Forza Horizon 6 Goes Gold Before May 15 Early Access
forza horizon 6 has gone gold and is now available for preload on Xbox Series X|S and PC through the Xbox app. Players who pre-ordered select editions, or who hold an active Game Pass membership, can start downloading before release.
Xbox Series X needs at least 135GB of available storage, while Xbox Series S needs 130GB. PC asks for 160GB and an SSD, which puts this preload well beyond a routine install size for anyone planning to jump in at Early Access.
Xbox App Preload Access
Players who bought the Standard Edition, Deluxe Edition, or Premium Edition can pre-download the game. The same applies to players with active Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass memberships. Those who plan to buy on disc can use the Xbox app on smartphones to preload the game.
Steam preload is coming soon. That leaves one access path open now and another still waiting, which matters most for players who built their launch plan around Steam rather than the Xbox app.
May 15 And May 19
Early Access begins on May 15 for players who purchased the Premium Edition or Premium Upgrade. The global release follows on May 19. That two-step rollout gives premium buyers first access, while everyone else waits for the wider launch.
Radio Stations And Rendering
Forza Horizon 6 includes 9 radio stations and the largest number of tracks yet in a Horizon title. Iconic J-pop songs are debuting at the Horizon Festival for the first time, and Spotify playlists will be created for each radio station before release.
On Xbox Series X|S, the game includes Quality and Performance rendering modes. Xbox Series X Quality mode runs in native 4K resolution at 30fps with increased visual fidelity, while Performance mode targets 4K resolution and scales dynamically to maintain 60fps. Xbox Series S Quality mode runs at 1440p at 30fps, which is the trade-off buyers on the smaller console have to factor in before preload day becomes launch day.
