Ayo Dosunmu Available for Game 3 After Right Heel Soreness

Ayo Dosunmu is available for Friday’s Game 3 against the Spurs after being listed as questionable with right heel soreness. The Timberwolves guard played 10 minutes in Wednesday’s Game 2 loss in San Antonio, then got the upgrade for a tied series that has reached one game apiece.

Dosunmu’s Game 3 status

The change gives Minnesota another guard option as it tries to keep the series level and protect a rotation that has already been tested. Dosunmu had missed the previous two contests before Game 3, including Game 6 vs. Denver and Game 1 vs. San Antonio because of right calf soreness.

His latest injury came during Wednesday’s Game 2 loss in San Antonio, when he sustained the right heel issue and still logged 10 minutes. That left the Wolves watching one of the players listed as questionable before Friday’s game, along with Anthony Edwards.

Minnesota’s guard rotation

Edwards was also on the questionable list for Friday’s game, adding another layer to Minnesota’s backcourt decisions. Dosunmu’s availability matters because the Timberwolves are trying to reach the Western Conference finals for the third straight year, and every available guard affects the minutes available around the lineup.

Minnesota and San Antonio entered Friday tied 1-1, so the Timberwolves are not just managing a single injury note. They are trying to keep pace in a series that has already shifted from Denver to San Antonio and back to a game where Dosunmu’s status moved from questionable to available before tipoff.
