Aidan Stone, Lirak Hasani and Ben Starkie Extend Truro City F.c. Deals

truro city f.c. have extended the contracts of goalkeeper Aidan Stone, midfielder Lirak Hasani and forward Ben Starkie after a season that ended with the club bottom of the National League. The move keeps three pieces of the squad in place as Truro prepares to return to the sixth tier for its first season back at that level.

Aidan Stone’s 33 appearances

Stone made 33 appearances this season after joining from Yeovil Town, and his new deal gives Truro a goalkeeper who already has a full campaign in the shirt behind him. Hasani and Starkie are also staying, giving the club three retained players to build around before next season.

Truro City releases three players

The retention work came with exits elsewhere in the squad. Truro released strikers Rekeil Pyke and Saikou Janneh, along with midfielder Harry Charsley, while Sam Sanders will leave after spending much of the past season on loan at National League North side Worksop Town.

That list leaves Truro with a clear divide between players kept for the next step and those moved on after the club’s first-ever season in the National League. The side will remain fully professional next season, so these decisions set the shape of the squad before it drops back into the sixth tier.

Worksop Town and next season

Sanders’ departure closes out a spell that was already spent largely away from Truro, but the bigger picture is the reset around him. The club now moves into a lower division with professional status intact, and the retained trio of Stone, Hasani and Starkie gives it a starting core for that run.
