Thursday through Saturday
Thursday was forecast to begin with sunny spells before turning cloudier in the afternoon with showers, some locally heavy and with a chance of thunder locally. Friday was set to bring variable cloud, sunny spells and the odd isolated shower.
Saturday was forecast to open with a few early showers before turning dry and sunny in the afternoon. The Met Office said the week is a reminder that spring can still deliver a wintry edge.
