Tony Bellew Predicts Joshua Could Stop Fury — Anthony Joshua Tyson Fury Prediction

Tony Bellew made the sharpest anthony joshua tyson fury prediction of the build-up: he expects the heavyweight fight to end before the final bell. He also backed Anthony Joshua to be the man who gets it done, saying Tyson Fury may not hear the judges.

Bellew, the former cruiserweight world champion, said, "The only thing that I can fully, really commit to and put my hand on my heart and say, ‘I really genuinely think this is going to happen’ is that it ain’t going the distance." He added, "That is what I will be predicting, Joshua could knock him out."

Bellew on Joshua’s power

The prediction leans on Joshua’s finishing ability, not Fury’s name value. Bellew said Joshua can knock out anybody if he lets his hands go for six rounds, but he also said he needs to see Joshua in a ring before he can fully back him to win.

That caution sits alongside the confidence in his stoppage call. Bellew said, "The reason that I can’t put my hand on my heart and think ‘it is Josh’ is because I need to see Josh in a ring and see what he can do."

Joshua, Fury and July

A fight between Joshua and Fury is understood to have been signed for, but both men still have work to do before they meet. Joshua is scheduled to take on Kristian Prenga in July, while Fury is still looking for an opponent and is expected to get a similarly low-risk warm-up fight.

The path to November is simple enough on paper. If both men win their bouts unscathed, they are set to collide then, and the matchup that has been discussed for years would finally move from talk to ringwork.

Andy Ruiz Jnr has also thrown his hat into the ring as a potential dance partner for Fury, adding another name to the short-list around the heavyweight picture. For now, though, Bellew’s call is the clearest one: Joshua-Fury is being framed as a fight that ends early, not one that needs the scorecards.
