Front Street Fest begins May 15 in Mokena with three-day lineup

The 2nd Annual Front Street Fest begins may 15 at the Front Street Metra parking lot in Mokena and runs through Sunday, May 17. Presented by the Mokena Chamber of Commerce, the three-day musical extravaganza is staged under a tent and is set to draw both all-ages and 21-and-over crowds across the weekend.

Tickets for ages 21 and over are $10 pre-sale and $15 at the door. Tickets for ages 20 and under are $5, and all tickets are non-refundable. The event is rain or shine, with food trucks serving food, desserts and soft drinks.

The Friday, May 15 schedule starts with Dr. Don & The 59'ers from 5 to 7 p.m., followed by The Ron Burgundy's from 7:30 to 11 p.m. On Saturday, May 16, Totally Taylor plays from 2 to 3:30 p.m., Daze of Grunge from 5 to 7 p.m., and Libido Funk Circus from 8 to 11 p.m.

Sunday, May 17 opens with The Time Bandits from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. and closes with Nashville Electric Company from 3 to 6 p.m. The schedule splits the weekend into daytime all-ages sets and later shows for guests 21 and over after 7:30 p.m.

For attendees, the main practical detail is the cutoff. Anyone planning to stay for the late Friday or Saturday shows needs a 21-and-over ticket, while earlier sets remain open to younger guests. The tented setup and rain-or-shine policy also mean the festival goes ahead regardless of weather at the Front Street Metra parking lot.

Alcohol will be available for purchase for those 21 and over, including beer, wine, seltzers and N/A beer. With food, drinks and seven scheduled performances spread across three days, the event is built as a full weekend stop rather than a single concert night.
