Texans Sign Wade, Ramsey and Bond to Four-Year Deals
The Texans signed wade Woodaz, Kamari Ramsey and Lewis Bond to four-year contracts on Wednesday, adding three draft picks to their roster. Woodaz, a fourth-round linebacker, was among the players announced under contract as Houston continued its post-draft signings.
Ramsey and Bond Join Houston
Ramsey, a fifth-round safety, played two seasons at UCLA and two at USC. In 35 career games, he totaled 133 tackles, 9.5 sacks, two interceptions, 11 passes defensed and two forced fumbles.
Bond arrived from Boston College after five seasons there. The sixth-round wide receiver finished with 213 catches for 2,385 yards and 11 touchdowns in 46 games.
Xavier Thomas Waived
The Texans also waived defensive end Xavier Thomas with an injury designation on Wednesday. Thomas was a fifth-round pick of the Cardinals in 2024 and spent the end of last season on Houston's practice squad.
For Houston, the signings complete contracts for draft picks taken in the fourth, fifth and sixth rounds. That leaves one roster move on the same day tied to Thomas, whose path back now depends on the injury designation attached to his waiver.
Houston Draft Class
Wednesday's transactions added three rookies in one day and trimmed one defensive end from the roster picture. Woodaz, Ramsey and Bond each moved from draft pick status to signed contracts, while Thomas moved off the roster after his stint on the practice squad ended.
