Arizona Cardinals Open 2026 at Chargers, Face Six Road Games Early

The arizona cardinals released their official 2026 schedule on Thursday, and the first stretch is front-loaded with travel. They open in Los Angeles against the Chargers and will play six of their first nine games on the road.

Chargers Open, Seahawks Visit Next

That start sends Arizona to Week 1 at the Chargers before the home opener arrives in Week 2 against the Seahawks. The first home game comes against the reigning Super Bowl champions, giving State Farm Stadium an immediate test after the road trip begins.

Arizona also goes to San Francisco in the third week of the season, so the early run already includes two division games away from home. That part of the slate will shape the opening month because the Cardinals do not begin the season until Sept. 13, with Labor Day falling late.

State Farm Stadium Late Run

The back half flips the balance. The Cardinals will play six of their last eight games at State Farm Stadium, then finish the season at home against the Raiders and 49ers.

That home-heavy finish gives Arizona a steadier final stretch than the opening month, but the schedule still leaves room for traffic later in the year. The team currently has no primetime game scheduled, although flex scheduling could still alter that down the line.

Giants Trip Adds History

One of the other road games takes Arizona to New York against the Giants in the 130th meeting between the franchises. The Cardinals have never lost to the Giants at MetLife Stadium in three previous tries.

Arizona also has its bye in Week 14, creating a mid-December reset before the final push. For fans, the practical takeaway is simple: the season starts away from home, the middle includes a breather, and the last two weeks bring the Raiders and 49ers to Glendale.
