Preetisheel Singh D'Souza Builds Two Dawood Ibrahim Looks for Danish Iqbal
Preetisheel Singh D'Souza has shared how dawood ibrahim was turned into two sharply different versions of Bade Sahab in Dhurandhar: The Revenge, with Danish Iqbal carrying both through prosthetic work. She posted a behind-the-scenes look at the process recently, showing how the film moved from a commanding younger figure to a physically weakened older one.
The makeup and prosthetic designer wrote, “Bade Sahab! For Dawood Ibrahim in Dhurandhar, played by Danish Iqbal, we had to build two sharply contrasting versions of the same man,” She added that the younger version was meant to look “stylish, commanding, and powerful,” while the older one had to read as “a fragile, worn-down version of this once formidable figure, who was slowly poisoned,”

The transformation relied on “extensive silicone prosthetic work, a sparse wig, layered skin darkening and texturing, wrinkles, eye bags, the removal of eyebrows, and detailed texturing and colouring work across the scalp and body.” That combination gave the production two visual states for the same character instead of a single aging makeup pass.
Preetisheel Singh D'Souza also said, “Danish Iqbal brings both these versions together with remarkable control, making the transition feel seamless and lived-in,” The comment points to the actor’s role in carrying the shift between the two looks, not just the prosthetics themselves.

The post frames the character work as part of Dhurandhar: The Revenge’s design rather than a standalone makeup reveal. It also fits the reputation of Preetisheel Singh D'Souza and her studio, Da Makeup Lab, for prosthetic transformations in Indian cinema.
For viewers, the practical takeaway is simple: the film’s version of Bade Sahab is built around contrast, and the two looks were designed together from the start. That means the final screen result depends as much on the aging and illness detail as on the performance that connects the two stages.
