Redman Details Cop On A Rooftop at South Bend Dunkin' Stops
Police departments across the area are taking part in cop on a rooftop at Dunkin' locations from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m. St. Joseph County officers will be at the Dunkin' store on SR 933 in South Bend, and the Mishawaka Police Department will be at the Dunkin' on Grape Road.
All money raised goes to the Special Olympics. Donors receive a coupon for a free donut, and people who make a larger donation of $10 or more receive a coupon for a free coffee.
Redman on the fundraiser
St. Joseph County Sheriff Redman talked with WSBT about the event, which brings officers to the store fronts instead of patrol work for the day. WSBT said, “Police Departments across our area are hanging out at Dunkin' locations, and it's all for a good cause!”
The setup gives customers a direct way to support the Special Olympics during the morning and early afternoon window, with the donation tier deciding which coupon they take home. The participating departments are split between the South Bend SR 933 store and the Grape Road location in Mishawaka, so donors can choose the stop that works best for them.
SR 933 and Grape Road
For readers headed to either Dunkin' location, the timing is the part that matters most: the fundraiser runs only from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m. People making a donation of $10 or more get the coffee coupon, while smaller donations are tied to the donut coupon.
