Harry Newman Returns as Leeds Rhinos Name 21-Man Squad — Warriors Vs Rhinos

Leeds Rhinos named their 21-man squad for warriors vs rhinos and Harry Newman is back in it. Brad Arthur’s side go to Wigan on Friday for an 8pm kick-off, with Jack Bird ruled out after knee surgery and several loan moves reshaping the group.

Newman Back for Wigan

Newman replaces Bird after spending the last three games on loan at Hull FC. His return gives Leeds another option in a squad that has been altered by both injury and short-term movement before the trip to Wigan Warriors.

Tom Nicholson-Watton also comes back into the 21 after a week on loan at Castleford Tigers, while Riley Lumb returns after a spell at Hunslet. Ethan O’Neill drops out after joining Hull FC on loan, and Harley Thomas is replaced as Arthur reshuffled his options for the match.

Bird and Littlewood Out

Bird’s absence is the clearest change at the top end of the squad. The centre had minor surgery on his knee and will miss the next two games, forcing Leeds to adjust their selection before Friday night.

Ben Littlewood is another notable loss. The York Knights player suffered a hand injury that is expected to keep him out for six to eight weeks, leaving Leeds without another option as the squad is trimmed for the Wigan trip.

Connor Reaches 250 Games

Jake Connor is also set to bring up his 250th Super League game. That milestone sits inside a squad update built around availability, with Leeds balancing returns from loan against the absences created by injury and temporary moves.

For Leeds, the immediate task is simple: assemble a side that can handle Wigan at 8pm on Friday while Bird recovers and the returning players settle back in. Tickets and travel for the game can be purchased online.
