Fever Vs Mystics: Indiana Returns Fully Healthy For Friday Night
The Indiana Fever entered fever vs mystics on Friday night with no players sidelined for the second straight game. That clean bill of health gives Indiana a full roster for its third game of the season at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
Caitlin Clark Leads Indiana
Clark heads into the matchup after carrying the Fever to an 87-78 win over the Los Angeles Sparks on Wednesday. She finished with 24 points, four rebounds, nine assists and two steals, while Kelsey Mitchell added 23 points and Sophie Cunningham scored 12 with four rebounds.
Monique Billings made her debut in that win after missing the season opener with an ankle injury. Lexie Hull also comes in healthier after missing the entire preseason with a hamstring issue and playing the first two games on a minutes restriction.
Washington Mystics Bring 1-1 Record
Washington also entered Friday at 1-1, but the Mystics arrived off a 98-93 overtime loss to the New York Liberty after opening with a 68-65 win over the Toronto Tempo. Sonia Citron scored 26 points on 9-for-12 shooting in that opener, and Kiki Iriafen posted 20 points and 12 rebounds against New York.
The Fever and Mystics had already met five times last season, with Indiana winning the series 3-2. They are scheduled to play only three times this season, which keeps every meeting tight on importance even in May.
Gainbridge Fieldhouse Rotation
Indiana’s probable starting five was listed as Clark, Mitchell, Cunningham, Billings and Aliyah Boston, with Washington’s potential group set as Georgia Amoore, Citron, Cassandra Prosper, Iriafen and Shakira Austin. Boston had four points, seven rebounds and two blocks against the Sparks, giving the Fever another frontcourt option after a winter and preseason spent managing injuries.
For Indiana, the difference from last season is simple: the roster is intact going into a home game, and Clark is not trying to carry a shortened group through another injury hit. The Fever were limited by multiple muscle-related injuries in 2024, when Clark played just 13 games, so a fully available lineup gives Friday’s game a cleaner read on where this team stands.
