Peter Phillips Sets Private Ceremony, Prince Andrew Wedding Snub Follows
Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling have set their wedding for Saturday 6 June 2026 at All Saints Church in Kemble, Cirencester, and the prince andrew wedding snub is now part of the announcement. Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Sarah Ferguson and Prince Harry are not invited. The couple said the ceremony will be private, with close friends and immediate family in the Cotswolds.
All Saints Church, Kemble
Phillips and Sperling announced the date through their spokesman, who said: "Mr Peter Phillips, the son of HRH The Princess Royal and Captain Mark Phillips and Ms Harriet Sperling, daughter of the late Mr Rupert Sanders and Mrs Mary Sanders of Gloucestershire, have today announced their wedding date." The same statement said, "The summer wedding will take place at All Saints Church, Kemble, Cirencester on Saturday 6th June 2026 in a private ceremony. Both families have been informed jointly of the wedding date by invitation."
The spokesman added: "Their Majesties The King and Queen, The Prince and Princess of Wales have also been informed of the announcement. Further details will be announced in due course."
Peter Phillips And Harry
A friend of the couple said Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson were probably not deemed appropriate to invite. "It’s Peter and Harriet’s special day, and clearly their attendance would cause a distraction to the whole day," the friend said. The same friend said: "Peter and Harry haven’t spoken for several years and have simply lost touch, so he hasn’t been invited."
That leaves the guest list limited to the couple’s close circle, not the larger royal family network around them. Phillips is 48 years old and has two daughters, Savannah and Isla. He was a guest at Prince Harry's wedding to Meghan Markle, and Harry attended Zara Tindall's wedding to Mike Tindall.
Cotswolds Wedding Guest List
The couple had to seek special permission to marry in a church because they are both divorced, and they received the vicar's permission last month. The private ceremony now moves forward on the date already set, with the exclusions built into a guest list meant to keep the day close to family and friends.
