Eddie Vedder leads Pearl Jam to first show after Matt Cameron exit
Pearl Jam will return to the stage with eddie vedder leading the band at Ohana Festival, the first announced concert since drummer Matt Cameron left after 27 years. The show lands in Dana Point, California, during the festival’s 10-year anniversary run from Sept. 25 through Sept. 27.
That placement turns the date into more than a tour stop. It puts Pearl Jam’s next live appearance inside a festival Vedder has curated since 2016, with ticket pre-sales already open to Ten Club members and the general pre-sale set for May 14.
Ohana Festival in Dana Point
The festival lineup also includes Eddie Vedder & Friends, Tyler Childers, Alabama Shakes, Fontaines D.C., Pixies, Rilo Kiley, Billy Idol, Jon Batiste and Maná. Bad Religion, Courtney Barnett, Sugar, the Format, Tom Odell and Men I Trust are also on the bill, making the anniversary edition a wide tent rather than a single-band showcase.
Pearl Jam’s slot matters because the band has not yet named a new drummer. Mike McCready said last month that the group was still talking through its next move, and that uncertainty is now attached to a public performance date rather than an internal transition.
After Cameron’s 27 years
Matt Cameron said in July 2025 that he was leaving in an amicable split after 27 years with the band, thanking Jeff, Ed, Mike and Stone for inviting him in during 1998. He also thanked the crew, staff and fans and said, “It’s been an incredible journey. More to follow. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.”
When Pearl Jam had to play without him in 2022, the band brought in Dave Krusen, John Klinghoffer and Richard Stuverud. That history makes the Ohana date the first real test of how the group handles the next stage of its live calendar without Cameron in place.
May 14 pre-sale
Ten Club members can buy tickets now, and the general pre-sale starts May 14. For anyone tracking Pearl Jam’s live route, the practical takeaway is simple: the next public chapter begins at a Vedder-run festival, and the band’s drummer situation will travel with it.
