Timo Glock Nurburgring Disqualification Follows 112kph Slow Zone Breach
Timo Glock nurburgring disqualification came after he was clocked at 112kph in a 60kph slow zone during the Nurburgring 24 Hours. The stewards immediately removed him from the event and withdrew his DPN licence, ending his part in the race while the #69 car could keep going with the other drivers.
Glock's 112kph slow-zone breach
Glock was at the wheel of the Benetton-liveried #69 McLaren 720S-GT3 in the early morning hours when he was caught almost doubling the speed limit through the slow zone on the 25.4km Nordschleife layout. Those zones start with a 120kph reduction before drivers hit the severe 60kph limit, and this one was in place because of an accident or a track blockage.
The stewards handed him two penalty points for the incident. That added to the two penalty points he had already received at the 24h Qualifiers, and it left him unable to take any further part in the 2026 race.
#69 McLaren Keeps Running
The punishment did not stop the car itself. Ben Dorr, Timo Scheider and Marvin Kirchhofer can continue in the #69 McLaren 720S-GT3 even without Glock, though the entry already carried an 82-second penalty.
That car had also picked up a 33-second sanction for failing to comply with the minimum pitstop time, and it was under investigation for a further Code 60 violation. With four and a half hours remaining, the #69 car sat in 15th place, trying to recover time while the penalties kept building.
Nordschleife Penalties Stack Up
For Glock, the key change is immediate and personal: he is out of the race and without his DPN licence. For the #69 entry, the margin is tighter, because the car can still run but now has to absorb the 82-second penalty, the earlier 33-second sanction and the threat of another Code 60 ruling.
