Juventus – Fiorentina: Ndour and Mandragora sink Spalletti’s side 2-0

Juventus – Fiorentina ended with a 2-0 home loss at the Allianz Stadium, and Juventus dropped from third to sixth place on the penultimate matchday. Luciano Spalletti’s side finished two points outside the Champions League zone after failing to find a way past Fiorentina.

Ndour Breaks Juventus

Ndour put Fiorentina ahead in the first half after their first decisive vertical attack, and Juventus never fully recovered. Spalletti had named the same starting lineup he used at Lecce, with Dusan Vlahovic up front and Koopmeiners in midfield, while leaving Thuram out.

Paolo Vanoli started Piccoli and chose Brescianini ahead of Mandragora, and Fiorentina got the better of the key moments that followed. Juventus had a McKennie goal disallowed for a foul on Gosens, then later saw Vlahovic’s equaliser ruled out by VAR for offside.

Mandragora Seals It

Mandragora made the result safe with a shot from the edge of the area to make it 2-0. That finish ended Juventus’ last real route back into the match and left them with no margin in the table race.

The result also carried a suspension blow for the final league match against Torino, with Bremer ruled out. Fiorentina, already safe and with no league objectives remaining, took control of a game that had direct Champions League consequences for Juventus.

For Spalletti, the defeat leaves the final day dependent on more than one result. Juventus now have to chase the standings from outside the top four, with the gap to the Champions League places cut down to two points and only Torino left on their schedule.
