Brentford Score 80.8 to top Premier League fan survey

Brentford score 80.8 to finish first in the Premier League’s Matchday Fan Experience and Engagement Survey. The club moved back to the top after placing second in each of the previous two campaigns, and more than 1,100 Brentford fans were among the nearly 32,000 match-attending supporters who shaped the rankings.

Brentford and the Gtech

Sally Stephens said the result reflected work across the club and the role of supporters in shaping the matchday environment. “Returning to the top of the table is a testament to the hard work across the club, including our matchday staff, as well as the incredible support of our fans and the atmosphere they create at the Gtech,” she said.

Brentford’s score also sat alongside specific high marks that separated them from the rest of the league. The club ranked inside the top six in every measurement contributing to the overall score, while 96 per cent of supporters said they felt positive about the atmosphere at the Gtech and 95 per cent said Brentford provide an inclusive experience for all supporters.

Survey numbers for Brentford

Brentford ranked third in the Premier League for wi-fi connectivity and second for the quality and range of food and drink. It also placed top for the attitude and performance of staff overall, including ticket office staff, and first for openness and transparency of communications. Those areas help explain how the club reached 80.8 in a survey based on match-going supporters across the league.

The club has already adjusted parts of the matchday experience, including in-stadium wi-fi and tasting events at the Gtech for fans to try new food and drink options. Brentford said the number of incidents of negative fan behaviour remained below the league average, while 98 per cent of supporters said they feel the club is well run.

Brentford survey impact

For supporters, the result puts a number on what the club has been trying to build at the Gtech: a matchday experience that scores well across staff, communication, atmosphere and practical facilities. The survey also gives Brentford a clear benchmark after two straight second-place finishes, with the latest ranking showing the club has turned that near miss into the league’s top spot.

That leaves Brentford with a stronger position heading into its next round of supporter feedback, because the club is no longer chasing first place from behind. The mix of 80.8 overall, top marks for staff and communications, and high supporter approval gives the club a measurable standard to protect the next time fans are asked to score matchday experience.
