Beast was shot across Sydney, Port Kembla and at a live ONE Championship event in Bangkok in front of 10,000 fans. Tyler Atkins directed the film, and he co-wrote it with Crowe and David Frigerio.

The production also leans on fight craftsmanship. Bren Foster, a nine-time world martial arts champion, choreographed the sequences, while Amy Shark makes her acting debut alongside Luke Hemsworth, Mojean Aria, George Burgess, Kelly Gale, Saphira Moran and Foster.
