Alex Jones Reveals The One Show Rose for 20th Anniversary
Alex Jones and Roman Kemp unveiled the one show rose to mark 20 years of The One Show. The bloom was bred and cultivated by Peter Beales Roses over 10 years, and a proportion of sales will go to Children In Need. Jones, who has hosted the teatime programme for 16 years, called it “absolutely beautiful” and said it fit the show’s milestone birthday.

“The One Show’s 20th rose is absolutely beautiful and it’s the perfect way to mark the show’s milestone birthday, and it’s even more special knowing a donation from every sale will go to Children In Need, a charity we’re proud to champion,” Jones said. She added, “We really hope our audience love it as much as we do!”
Kemp said, “This launch of The One Show 20th rose is a brilliant way to kick start the anniversary celebrations.” He also said, “Many of our One Show viewers love gardening and the benefits can be so impactful, so it’s wonderful to have that recognised with this special rose.”

Ian Limmer said, “We are incredibly proud to introduce The One Show 20th Rose at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026.” He added, “This rose represents not only the very best of British rose breeding, but also a meaningful partnership supporting the wonderful work of Children In Need.”
The rose was unveiled at Chelsea Flower Show at London’s Royal Hospital Chelsea, and its official unveiling will be seen on Monday’s programme at 7pm on One and iPlayer. That puts the anniversary object in front of the same audience the show has spent two decades building, while giving the sales link a clear charitable route instead of a ceremonial one.

The detail that changes the story is the donation stream. This is not just a commemorative product for viewers to notice on screen; it also sends part of each sale to Children In Need, which makes the launch useful to the charity as well as to the programme’s anniversary campaign.
Peter Beales has already tied the rose to RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026, so the launch is set up as a longer campaign rather than a one-day reveal. For viewers, the practical next step is simple: watch the unveiling on Monday at 7pm on One and iPlayer, then decide whether the rose is worth buying knowing part of the price is directed to a charity the programme backs.
