Environment Canada Issues 31 Weather Windsor Heat Warning
Environment Canada issued a weather windsor forecast for Windsor-Essex on Victoria Day with a yellow heat warning in effect, a high of 31 and south winds gusting to 60 km/h at times. The day also carried a humidex of 37, or 99 F.
That forecast meant the holiday ended with a warm, windy afternoon and little relief overnight. This evening was set to stay mainly cloudy, with a 40 percent chance of showers, a risk of a thunderstorm and a low of 18, or 64.
Windsor-Essex This Evening
The afternoon cloud cover was expected to increase as the day went on, while the south wind continued to build. Environment Canada said the weather would stay windy this evening, adding a chance of showers and thunderstorm risk to the warm conditions already in place.
Tomorrow brought more of the same pattern before any cooling arrived. The forecast called for increasing cloudiness in the afternoon, a few showers and risk of a thunderstorm, with windy conditions and a high of 31 that would feel like 35, or 95.
Wednesday In Windsor-Essex
The change showed up on Wednesday, when Environment Canada said Windsor-Essex would get some relief from the heat. The high was expected to reach 17, or 63, under a mix of sun and cloud with a 30 percent chance of showers.
Tomorrow evening added another wet window, with a cloudy forecast, a 60 percent chance of showers or thunderstorms and a low of 11, or 52. For people in Windsor-Essex, the main shift is timing: the warm, gusty stretch holds through Tuesday before Wednesday brings the first break.
