The rugby world cup ticket application phase opened on 19 May 2026 at 15:00 AEST, giving fans a first shot at seats for all 52 matches in Australia. The window runs until 18:00 AEST on Tuesday, 2 June 2026, after a presale that moved more than 750,000 tickets.

Chris Stanley said the opening of applications marks a 500-day milestone for the tournament and comes after demand surged across 135 countries. He added: "We’ve already seen strong demand following a record-breaking Presale and with the ticket Application Phase now open, fans are encouraged to apply to secure their place at what will be the most exciting Men’s Rugby World Cup to date."
Supporters can apply for tickets to pool fixtures, knockout matches and the Final, and every application will be treated equally no matter when it is submitted. That shifts the process away from speed and toward the ballot, because oversubscribed matches and price categories will be decided that way.
