Sean Hubbard Charged in Camariya Tidwell Killing After Shotgun Video

Sean Hubbard was arrested and charged after 19-year-old camariya tidwell was shot and killed at a Rock Hill home on Saturday, May 16. Police said the case began with a daytime shooting at the same Mount Gallant Road address near the U.S. 21 Bypass, then escalated into the fatal attack later that day.

Investigators said a doorbell video appears to show Hubbard firing a shotgun through the home’s front door. Tidwell’s family shared that video on Monday, May 18, and said it showed the 34-year-old firing through the door before the later shooting death.

Police said no one was hurt in the earlier shooting during the day on Saturday, May 16. The same home was then the scene of a second incident later that day, when investigators said Hubbard returned and allegedly shot and killed Tidwell.

Police were called to the home around 11 p.m. and found Tidwell on the ground with a gunshot wound. She later died from her injuries. Hubbard was charged with murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

The family’s decision to share the doorbell video gives investigators and the public a clearer look at the first shooting tied to the case. It also links the earlier gunfire to the later homicide charge at the same address, turning what could have looked like one isolated call into a sequence of events at one home.

For people in Rock Hill, the practical fact is simple: the fatal case now centers on video tied to the same doorway where police say the earlier shot was fired. The charges leave Hubbard facing murder and a weapons count as the case moves forward.
