Zubimendi Backs Arsenal Parade With London Dressed in Red

Martin Zubimendi wants the arsenal parade to turn London red if Arsenal finish the job. The midfielder said he is dreaming of helping the club win the Premier League for the first time in 22 years.

Zubimendi and Arsenal’s title chase

Arsenal have three games left, and Burnley are first on Monday night. If Arsenal beat the already relegated side, they could be crowned champions on Tuesday if Manchester City fail to win at Bournemouth.

“We are looking forward to it, because in the end it has been a very long season and, well, we see that we are close, that we can do something big and we are looking forward to it and to be able to celebrate a possible feat,” Zubimendi said. He added that, if it happens, “it is going to be an important moment for the fans.”

Burnley first, Palace after

His public target was clear: “Hopefully, London will be dressed in red and I think that because of everything I've experienced this year, I want to think it's going to be a unique day.” He also said, “It would be incredible.”

The demand on Arsenal is just as clear. “We are very clear that to win everything we have to do our job,” Zubimendi said. “We depend on ourselves, so I don’t think we care what the others do. We are focused on ourselves.”

Three matches, one title path

After Burnley, Arsenal face Crystal Palace on the final day of the season before the Champions League final against Paris Saint Germain in Budapest on May 30. That run leaves no room for anything but points, and a slip against Burnley would push the title race into the final stretch.

The title chase now runs through Arsenal’s own results. Win on Monday night, wait on Tuesday, and London could be the place Zubimendi wants to see in red.
