Pasquale Rotella unveils 12-day Edc 2027 across two weekends
edc 2027 will stretch across two consecutive weekends after Insomniac announced a new “Dusk Till Dawn” format for Las Vegas. The festival will run as EDC Dusk from May 14-16 and EDC Dawn from May 21-23, with the full experience set for May 14-24.
Pasquale Rotella said, “I’m really excited to introduce ‘Dusk Till Dawn’ as the next evolution of EDC and offer new ways for Headliners to experience the music, art, connection and community that make this festival so special,” and added, “We wanted to reimagine EDC as a new type of immersive journey across 12 days and two consecutive weekend celebrations in one city we love.”
Two weekends, 12 days
The 12-day setup is the clearest change for attendees. Instead of a single weekend frame, Headliners will be able to choose EDC Dusk, EDC Dawn, or both, giving the festival a longer on-sale window and a broader travel decision to make before booking flights, hotels, and time off.
Officials said the 2027 festival is designed to have a lower capacity, with more room and easier travel accommodations. That makes the expansion feel less like a simple add-on and more like a reset of the event’s scale, even as it keeps the party inside one city.

Rotella said, “This concept gives Headliners the freedom to choose their own path and join us for one or both weekends, while enabling us to continue evolving, experimenting creatively, and sharing new moments Under the Electric Sky.” The language points to a festival trying to sell flexibility as much as access, with the “Dusk Till Dawn” label doing the work of signaling a larger, staged experience.
For the business side, the lower-capacity plan is the friction point. More room may improve the on-site experience, but it also signals a more controlled crowd load than a pure volume play. That suggests the 2027 format is being built around pacing and comfort, not just adding dates.

Layaway plans for all pass types will be available with a $5 deposit, and tickets go on sale Friday, May 22, at 12 p.m. local time. Details on the 2027 artist lineups, themes, stage programming, and citywide events will come later, so the first buying decision arrives before the full creative picture does.
