Manchester Airport New Summer Flights Add 12 Routes This Summer
Manchester Airport new summer flights bring 12 brand-new routes this summer, with new Mediterranean beach spots and long-haul services to Algiers and Lahore. The first departures start on June 1, and several of the additions are destinations no other Northern airport serves.
Stephen Turner, the airport's chief commercial officer, said: "That’s why we’re so excited to see a dozen new routes coming on board this summer, several of which will connect Manchester to destinations unserved by any other Northern airport."
Air Algerie will open the Manchester-Algiers link on June 14, while Pakistan International Airlines will add Lahore as its second destination from Manchester Airport on July 3. EasyJet is also adding Bari on July 3 and will begin Preveza flights on June 24, after starting Montpellier service in late March.
Ryanair and Jet2.com
Ryanair will launch Castellon on June 1 and Rimini on June 3. Jet2.com has already put services to Jerez de la Frontera, La Palma, Palermo, Pula and Samos on sale, and those routes are now operating.
Turner said: "When we say we connect people to places no one else in the North does, we don’t just mean global cities like New York or Beijing – we mean sun, sea and sand destinations too." He also said: "That’s where we step in with a huge range of destinations unmatched by any other airport in the North, offering plenty of choice."
Manchester Airport Routes
The short-haul additions widen a summer schedule that already includes year-round favourites such as Mallorca and Tenerife, but the new routes push the airport into destinations it has not served before. For passengers choosing between beach, city and long-haul trips, the immediate practical change is simple: more nonstop options leaving Manchester on dates already set across June and July.
