Tesco expands 39-store trial with Tesco New Breakfast Meal Deal
Tesco has launched a tesco new breakfast meal deal trial in 39 stores across the UK, adding hot breakfast and lunch items to its meal deal lineup for a limited time. Customers with a Clubcard can buy the new hot options for £5.50.
The trial includes sausage rolls, croissants and paninis, with customers able to add sides such as fruit pots and drinks including chilled coffees, smoothies and juices. Tesco is also rolling out a fresh range of chilled breakfast-to-go products across large stores.
Tesco Meal Deal Trial
The hot breakfast and lunch offer extends Tesco’s existing meal deal format into morning and lunchtime hot food. The retailer has not identified the 39 stores in the announcement, and the trial is limited in time.
That leaves shoppers in trial stores with a straightforward choice: buy the hot items at the Clubcard price, or stick with Tesco’s existing meal deal options elsewhere. The new range gives customers another way to build a breakfast or lunch purchase around a main item, a side and a drink.
Chilled Breakfast-To-Go
Tesco’s wider breakfast push also includes chilled products aimed at quick mornings. The new lineup includes a Tesco Butter Beans & Chorizo Egg Pot, a Tesco Banoffee Overnight Oats and a Tesco Strawberry Compote with Granola and Greek Style Yoghurt.
The company described the chilled breakfast-to-go range as designed to offer quick, convenient and flavour-packed options for busy mornings. For shoppers, the practical change is simple: more breakfast choices in larger stores and a limited trial of hot items in 39 locations.
What matters now is whether the offer stays confined to the trial stores or becomes part of a wider Tesco rollout. For customers in the 39 stores, the new price point and hot-food option are available now for a limited period.
