A source said, “It’s a shame people feel the need to cast a shadow over [the graduation] by taking a dig at a father who has already been separated from his family.” That reaction sits alongside a long public record: Pitt and Angelina Jolie divorced in 2016 after more than a decade together, then spent years in a legal battle that reportedly wrapped in 2024 with de Ramon’s help.

Last summer, sources said Pitt still had “strained” relationships with all of his children, despite “several efforts to reconnect,” leaving him with “a lot of heartbreak.” He also said after the divorce was finalized that he wanted to “learn” and “move on.”
