Trey Hendrickson Lands 4-Year, $112 Million Ravens Deal
Joe Burrow said trey hendrickson’s move to the Baltimore Ravens was not very surprising after the pass-rusher signed a four-year, $112 million deal in March. The Bengals quarterback said he knows Hendrickson well enough to expect a move like that, and he is already looking ahead to seeing him on the other side.

Burrow told reporters Wednesday that the decision did not catch him off guard. “I know Trey, I love Trey. I just know how he operates,” he said. He also said, “It’ll definitely be fun.”
The move sends Hendrickson from Cincinnati to an AFC North rival after five seasons with the Bengals. He joined Cincinnati in 2021 after four seasons with the New Orleans Saints and became one of the club’s most productive pass-rushers.
Ravens and Bengals
Hendrickson was named a Pro Bowler in each of his first four seasons in Cincinnati. In 2024, he led the league with 17.5 sacks, earned First Team All-Pro honors and finished second in Defensive Player of the Year voting.
His path out of Cincinnati had been building for a while. Prior to the 2024 and 2025 seasons, Hendrickson pushed for a long-term extension, and last season he restructured the final year of his Bengals deal at a salary of $29 million. He still became free to sign elsewhere once his contract expired at the end of the 2025 campaign.
What Changed in March
Baltimore signed the 31-year-old after an initial trade for Maxx Crosby fell through when Crosby failed his physical. Cincinnati replaced Hendrickson with former Seattle Seahawks pass-rusher Boye Mafe, but the more immediate impact is in the division: Burrow and Hendrickson will face each other at least twice in the 2026 season if both stay healthy.
