Circle K Fuel Day delivers 10-cent discount at 1,300 Canadian sites

Circle k fuel day returns on May 21 with a 10-cent-per-litre discount from 3 PM to 7 PM local time at more than 1,300 participating locations across Canada. The offer gives drivers a short window to cut fuel costs at a national network that spans provinces and territories.

Trudel sets the savings pitch

Stéphane Trudel, senior vice-president of Canada operations for Circle K and Couche-Tard, said, "Fuel Day is about delivering simple, meaningful savings to our customers". He added, "Whether it's a road trip or the daily commute, we want Canadians to feel that value every time they fill up. This is our way of saying thank you."

10 cents per litre is the core discount, and the promotion runs only on Thursday, May 21, from 3 PM to 7 PM local time. For customers filling a tank during that four-hour span, the timing is the main variable: the savings are available only while participating stations are open and the event window is live.

PEI and Nova Scotia rules

More than 1,300 participating locations are included across Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia, Alberta, Northwest Territories, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Prince Edward Island. At Prince Edward Island Circle K locations, customers must pay in-store to receive the discount.

100 litres per vehicle is the limit in Nova Scotia, which narrows the benefit for larger fill-ups there. That cap creates the clearest friction point in the rollout: the same Fuel Day offer does not apply in exactly the same way everywhere, so drivers need to check the local rule before they pull in.

May 26 sweepstakes follow-up

May 26, 2026 to July 20, 2026 is the run of the Fuel Your Summer Sweepstakes, which offers 200 winners a Circle K or Couche-Tard $450 gift card. Winners will be selected weekly from any of the 1,300 participating Circle K and Couche-Tard locations, and customers can scan the QR code at the pump or in-store for a chance to win with each fuel purchase.

149,500 people work across Couche-Tard's network, which operates in 27 countries and territories and has close to 17,300 stores. The Fuel Day discount is the immediate draw, but the sweepstakes keeps the customer traffic channel open well after the one-day price cut ends.
