Ontario Man Faces Canadian Man Disney Battery Charge After Disney Arrest

A 48-year-old Ontario man faces canadian man disney battery charge after an incident at Walt Disney World Resort in late March. The Orange County Sheriff's Office says he was arrested after allegedly pushing past a Disney Animal Kingdom employee and striking her with his shoulder twice.

He pleaded not guilty, was released on a $2,000 bond and was permitted to return to Canada while the case continues. The employee had been turning guests away from a ride after it closed for the evening.

Disney Animal Kingdom Encounter

The employee allegedly told the man that “the ride was no longer open” after he asked whether his family waiting outside could still enter the attraction area. Several members of his family crossed the closed barriers before the employee escorted them back out.

A few moments later, the group tried to re-enter through the Lightning Lane entrance. The sheriff’s office says the man pushed past the employee and struck her with his shoulder twice while continuing forward.

Orange County Arrest

After the encounter, the employee contacted Disney security and management before police arrived. The sheriff’s office then arrested the Ontario resident and charged him with misdemeanor battery.

The bond terms allowed him to leave Florida and return to Canada while the case remains active. That left Disney with a trespass-and-behavior dispute that moved quickly from a closed queue to a criminal charge, with the employee at the center of the first report.

Park Guest Reaction

Many parkgoers on Reddit praised Walt Disney World for how it handled the situation. One commenter wrote, “You do NOT want to f--- around at a Disney location.” Another said, “The guy's almost 50 years old, trying to get on a ride after she said no, it was closed. So embarrassing.”

The case now sits with the court after the not guilty plea, the bond release and the travel permission already in place. For Disney employees turning guests away from closed attractions, the immediate lesson is simple: a line drawn by a cast member can become a police matter fast when a visitor pushes past it.
