Crews Deploy Air Support as Lake Echo Fire Burns

Crews are working to contain the lake echo fire from the end of Jenking Blvd, where firefighters remain on scene and residents are being told to stay away. There are no evacuations in place, and there are no concerns for structures at this time.

Firefighters have made strong progress on both the left and right flanks, but the fire is still active. Multiple wildfires are burning and spotting through the treetops, which is keeping the response underway in the Lake Echo area.
