United World Wrestling sets Ulaanbaatar Open entries for June 4-7
United World Wrestling will stage the Ulaanbaatar Open in ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, from June 4-7 as the third Ranking Series stop of the year. The entry sheets released May 21 include wrestlers in 57kg through 125kg, and the roster can still change before the draws for each style.
Zholaman SHARSHENBEKOV will return to international competition for the first time since the 2024 Paris Olympics, making him one of the clearest names to watch in the Mongolian capital. The early entries also place Christopher COMPOSTO in the 65kg division for the USA and Cross WASILEWSKI in the 70kg division for the USA.

The 57kg field includes DENGBURILE, ANKUSH, SUMIT, Abzal OKENOV, Meirambek KARTBAY, Merey BAZARBAYEV, Sangboum HAN, Sunggwon KIM, Davaabandi MUNKH ERDENE, Jiguur SARANTUYA, Munkh Erdene BATKHUYAG, Chong Song HAN, Darian Toi CRUZ, Musa MEKHTIKHANOV, Aiaal BELOLYUBSKII, and Pedro MEJIAS. The 61kg list includes Georgii OKOROKOV, DEEPAK, Ahora KHATERI, Assyl AITAKYN, Kalmukhan TURMAKHANBET, Omurbek ASAN UULU, Batnasan GANKHULEG, Tserendondov DORJPUREV, Zanabazar ZANDANBUD, and Bair BAIANDUEV.
The 65kg division also includes Shamil MAMEDOV, Mohit KUMAR, ROHIT, SUJEET, Rahman AMOUZAD, Aibek AITBEKOV, Ibragim MAGOMADOV, Ossimzhan DASTANBEK, Junsik YUN, Gantulga BATBAATAR, Turbayar DAVAANYAM, Zeneemeder BYAMBASUREN, Kwang Jin KIM, and Christopher COMPOSTO. In 70kg, Cross WASILEWSKI joins ABHIMANYOU, Rodion ANCHUGIN, Sanzhar DOSZHANOV, Yerlan SHAKISHOV, Aden SAKYBAEV, Rustamzhan KAKHAROV, Tulga TUMUR OCHIR, Usukhbayar BAATARKHUU, Zandanbat BATSAIKHAN, Konstantin KAPRYNOV, Magomed ELTEMIROV, and Cross WASILEWSKI.

The 74kg list includes BATUQINGGELE, Erihetu BAYIN, JAIDEEP, Sagar JAGLAN, Sandeep MANN, Nurdanat AITANOV, Daegil HAN, Jin su JEON, Sangho HAN, Sumiyabazar ZANDANBUD, Tolui MUNKHBAT, Tugsjargal ERDENEBAT, Tamir ESHINIMAEV, and Tumen BODIEV. The 79kg field lists MOHIT, Mohammad NOKHODI, Mansur KUANGAN, Shamil OZHAEV, Bekzat RAKHIMOV, Gan Erdene BAATARKHUU, Khangaibayar GANBOLD, Suldkhuu OLONBAYAR, and Ismail KHANIEV, while 86kg includes Magomed RAMAZANOV, Suhe GANG, ARYAN, Mukul DAHIYA, Bolat SAKAYEV, Malik SHAVAEV, Gyeongyeon LEE, Taegyu HWANG, Batbilguun NAADAMBAT, Bilguundalai PUREVDAGVA, Byambadorj BAT ERDENE, Amanula RASULOV, and Weng CHOW.
The rest of the card stretches through 92kg, 97kg, and 125kg, with names from Azamat DAULETBEKOV and Askhab SAADULAEV to Thomas BARNS, Cristian SARCO, BUHEEERDUN, Robert BARAN, and Jose DIAZ. United World Wrestling said the continental championships are over and the Ranking Series returns for its third stop, so the Ulaanbaatar field carries early ranking points before the brackets are set.
Weights before the draws
The lower weights add more depth. The 55kg list starts with LALIT, Payam AHMADI, Davaabandi MUNKH ERDENE, Sumiyabazar MUNKHZAYA, and Emin CAKIR, while 60kg includes BAOYINJIYA, SAHIL, SUMIT, Ali AHMADI VAFA, Akyl SULAIMANOV, Dahyun KIM, Seunghak KIM, and Yu Chol RO. The 63kg entry list begins with Sunny KUMAR and Erfan JARKAN.
For wrestlers and coaches, the practical point is the same: the June 4-7 schedule is set, but the entry list is not final until 72 hours before the draws in each style. That leaves a short window for late changes before athletes learn their opening paths in Ulaanbaatar.
