Price advanced with a 6-2 win over Gian van Veen, while Luke Littler edged Josh Rock 6-5 and Luke Humphries beat Michael van Gerwen by the same score. Those four results drew the semi-final line-up into place and left the night to be decided by the final runs at the Utilita Arena.

Littler had won 22 of those fixtures, a margin that made his side of the bracket easy to read even before the darts were thrown. But he still had to survive Josh Rock first, and that match went to a 6-5 finish before the bigger final-night questions could be settled.

Bunting's path now runs through Price, who arrives after the 6-2 dismissal of van Veen. For Bunting, the quarter-final win over Clayton is the cleaner number: 6-3, enough to move him one step closer to the finals night stage and one specific opponent, rather than a wider field.
The Sheffield results left no room for drift. Four quarter-finals produced four semi-final places, and Bunting's reward is a meeting with a player who has already handled his own business on the same night. That is the route the league phase has now handed him into 28 May.
