Dodge Copperhead Srt Reveal: Stellantis Plans Eight SRT Models

Stellantis added the Dodge SRT Copperhead coupe to its dodge copperhead srt reveal, naming it one of eight SRT performance models planned for its U.S. brands under Fastlane 2030. The Copperhead name returns from a Dodge concept shown at the Detroit Auto Show in 1997, but the new coupe is not expected to resemble the orange original from 30 years ago.

Investor Day at Stellantis’s U.S. headquarters in Michigan is where the company showed the lineup slide. That slide covered every vehicle Stellantis plans to introduce for the main North American brands by 2030, including five completely new products hidden under covers.

The hidden products included one new Jeep, two new Rams and two new Dodge models. The Copperhead appeared as a coupe on the lower left next to the Chargers, sitting a little smaller than the Charger and wearing a massive wing.

Tom Murphy, the senior correspondent who described the car during the surprise new-product tour, called it: “Charger in front, Viper at the back.” He also described the Copperhead as a mash-up between a Charger and a Viper, with a big power dome on the hood.

Stellantis banned all cameras during the tour, which kept the new products from being photographed by attendees. Murphy said the Copperhead is closer in size to a Ford Mustang than to the current Charger, and he added that it may have a small back seat.

That leaves the drivetrain open for now. The source material says it is too early to say what will be under the hood, though the SRT badge would almost guarantee a Hemi V8 if it fits. The Hurricane I6 is also described as an option that is not a slouch.

Fastlane 2030 Dodge Plans

The other Dodge SRT model mentioned is a new take on the GLH, which is described as a compact muscle crossover. The note places it alongside the Copperhead in a wider SRT push that also includes Jeep and Ram products, with the full rollout tied to Fastlane 2030.

For buyers and Dodge followers, the immediate takeaway is simple: the Copperhead is no longer just a concept name from 1997. Stellantis has put it into a production roadmap, and the next decisions now center on what powertrain, size and body details survive to the showroom.
