Robbie Keane, Bellamy and Martinez Drive Celtic Manager Odds

celtic manager odds are narrowing at Parkhead, with Dermot Desmond expected to make a decision after this weekend's Scottish Cup final against Dunfermline. Robbie Keane, Craig Bellamy and Roberto Martinez remain among the names linked with the job as Celtic move toward a call after a season of managerial churn.

Brendan Rodgers left suddenly earlier this season, Martin O'Neill was brought back by Desmond, and Wilfried Nancy was shown the door after eight games. O'Neill is now expected to end his time in the dugout after Hampden, leaving Celtic to settle on who takes over next.

Keane and Bellamy

Keane's case is built on a Celtic connection and a current job in Hungary. He spent six months on loan in Glasgow from Tottenham in 2010, and he was already linked with the Celtic post before Nancy's brief spell began. Slovan Bratislava have publicly said they want talks with him, adding competition for a candidate Celtic are still weighing.

Bellamy brings a different link. He played for Celtic on loan in 2005 and scored seven times in 12 appearances, a record that keeps his name in the frame whenever the club looks for a familiar figure. He has also said he is committed to trying to lead Wales to Euro 2028 after missing out on the World Cup.

Martinez and Maloney

Martinez sits in the same discussion because of his long-standing relationship with Shaun Maloney, Celtic's number two. Martinez signed Maloney at Wigan and later brought him in as a coach for Belgium, and Maloney said earlier this season that he had held talks with him.

Martinez has also set out his own timeline. After unveiling Portugal's squad, he said, "Does my continuity in the national team depend on the World Cup? I don't think so. I've already spoken about this." He added: "The focus is on the World Cup, our dream is to get there and give everything. After the World Cup, the decision will be what's best for the national team. If I were worried about my position, I wouldn't be the right coach. Now is the time for Portugal, to prepare the team well and carry out the process that needs to be done."

Parkhead after Hampden

Celtic's search has become more urgent because the club is not just replacing Rodgers. The squad also needs major surgery, and the next manager arrives into that work as well as the pressure of following a season that has already included a change in the dugout and a short-lived appointment.

For Celtic, the practical next step comes after Hampden. Once the Scottish Cup final is done, Desmond is expected to settle the managerial question, and the names linked to the job now point to a decision that will shape both the dugout and the rebuild around it.
