Eight fire engines tackle Moss Lane blaze in Cheshire
Firefighters tackled a fire involving five HGV trailers at an industrial premises on Moss Lane near Lostock Gralam overnight in cheshire from Wednesday, May 20, into Thursday, May 21. Some crews were on the scene from 9.15pm to 2.15am while emergency services worked through the night.
At least eight fire engines attended from Crewe, Holmes Chapel, Knutsford, Lymm, Middlewich, Northwich, Powey Lane and Winsford. Crews used breathing apparatus and four jets to fight the blaze before continuing to dampen down the site with two hose reel jets.

The Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said, "Crews remained on scene throughout the night, continuing to dampen down the fire with two hose reel jets." The response kept multiple crews at the industrial site for hours after the first reports, with the fire still requiring attention into the early hours.

Police said there were no reports of any injuries at the time. That left the focus on the scale of the fire response itself: five HGV trailers, eight fire engines, and crews from eight stations at an industrial premises near Lostock Gralam.
By Thursday morning, the fire had moved from active firefighting to damping down, a sign that crews were dealing with remaining hot spots rather than an unchecked blaze.
