Hollie Doyle Fall At Bath Leaves Jockey Sidelined After Injury

Hollie Doyle fall at Bath has left the 29-year-old sidelined for a while after she was injured on Friday evening. The jockey said she will be out of race-riding for now, cutting short a spell that had already produced 53 winners this year.

Bath fall after Flight Signal win

Doyle’s setback came after she had already ridden Flight Signal to victory for Wathnan Racing and Archie Watson earlier on the Bath card. The later ride on Vault Of Heaven for Kevin Frost ended with the fall in the 5½f handicap, where the four-year-old appeared to sustain a serious injury.

She addressed the injury on Saturday, writing: “Thank you for all the messages, unfortunately I will be on the sidelines for a while after sustaining an injury at Bath yesterday. Thoughts are with connections. I'll be back!”

Salisbury rides wiped out

The injury also removed her from a planned full book of rides at Salisbury on Saturday evening. That is a direct hit to her immediate schedule, with Doyle having been due to continue riding after a run that included Your Song for Robson Aguiar at Naas last Sunday.

At 29, she remains one of the most active riders on the circuit, but the Bath fall now interrupts that momentum. For those following her rides, the immediate change is simple: Doyle is out for now, and the horses she was meant to partner at Salisbury will need new riders.
