Alain Prost Injured in Swiss Home Robbery, Police Probe Break-In

Alain Prost suffered a reported head injury during an alleged robbery at his family home in Switzerland on Tuesday morning. The four-time Formula One world champion was later described as visibly shaken after the break-in, while Swiss police continued to investigate the case.

Prost Home Break-In in Nyon

Police said several balaclava-wearing intruders broke into the house while the occupants were present. They threatened the people inside, and one family member was forced to open a safe before the group fled with stolen goods.

The residence was in Nyon beside Lake Geneva in the Swiss canton of Vaud. Blick reported that Prost left the home after the intrusion, and said the 71-year-old sustained a head injury during the incident.

Swiss Police Investigate Theft

The public prosecutor’s office said the perpetrators have not yet been apprehended. Police said one family member suffered minor head injuries under circumstances that remain to be established, and that the precise inventory of stolen items was still being compiled.

Prost’s name carries the weight of his record as a four-time Formula One world champion, with four world championships won between 1985 and 1993. For investigators, the immediate question is the same one that drives any robbery case: who entered the house, what was taken, and whether the group can be found before the trail goes cold.
