Carlos Plans 13:00 Terrace Event for Celta Vs Sevilla

Celta vs Sevilla in Balaídos has turned Saturday into a full match-day buildout in Vigo, with local businesses lining up terraces, music and food around the final league game. Novo Balaídos will open at 13:00 hours, and the wider pre-match area will include up to ten jaimas with food offerings.

Novo Balaídos terrace at 13:00

Carlos, who owns Novo Balaídos, said the preparation starts well before kickoff because the local is small and the day runs nonstop. "Tenemos que dejar toda la comida preparada, ya que el día del partido es todo muy continuo," he said.

The terrace plan at Novo Balaídos is shared with the cafeteria Reca, and it will begin with a group of gaiteiros before a DJ takes over after the musicians finish. Carlos also said the match day trims into business: "Quieras que no, nos van a quitar ventas." Novo Balaídos has ten beer barrels ready for Saturday, with barrels ranging from fifty liters to thirty liters each.

Free pinchos on Avenida do Fragoso

Another new local on Avenida do Fragoso 83 will start giving away free pincho platters at 18:00 hours. The platters will include tortilla, ensaladilla, cheese boards and cured meats, and the venue will also offer six Estrella Galicia beers for the price of five.

That same match day will stretch beyond terraces and pintxos. A Vigo nightclub is organizing a special Verbena Celtista event and said, "Este sábado nos convertimos en la Plaza de América."

Balaídos match-day push

The scale of the buildout matches the setting. Celta have already secured European qualification for the second consecutive year, and the game against Sevilla is the club’s final league fixture, which helps explain why businesses around Balaídos are treating Saturday like a citywide occasion rather than a routine home date.

For fans heading toward Balaídos, the practical part is simple: the earliest terrace activity begins at 13:00 hours, the free pinchos start at 18:00 hours, and the match-day scene around the stadium will be crowded with food stalls, live music and late-night plans before the final whistle even arrives.
