Lincolnshire Police search
A Lincolnshire Police spokesperson said: "Despite the very best efforts of people at the lake and the emergency services who arrived on scene, the boy has not yet been located. We continue to search the lake and our Under Water Search Team will be assisting with this." The force also said: "We have informed the family of the boy and our thoughts are with them at this incredibly difficult time."
The Under Water Search Team is due to assist with the search as it continues at the lake. Police urged people not to speculate while crews stayed focused on the search.
Swanholme Lakes reserve
Swanholme Lakes is a local nature reserve and a nationally recognised Site of Special Scientific Interest. It sits about three miles from Lincoln city centre, placing the search in a public area close to the city rather than at a remote site.
The central fact for people following the search is that the boy remains missing after the response at the lake on Sunday. Police have already told the family, and the search continues with specialist underwater help at the scene.
