Mark Henry Pitches Mega Powers Alliance for Charlotte Flair, Rhea Ripley
Mark Henry thinks WWE may be steering Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley toward a Mega Powers-style alliance, and he said that shift could change the balance around the WWE Women’s Champion. He made the point after seeing the two rivals forced into the same orbit, with Alexa Bliss beside them in a trio that has already been used against Jade Cargill, B-Fab and Michin.
Henry Sees A Flair-Ripley Turn
"I'm curious to see if they're working towards doing a Mega Powers thing with them," Henry said on Busted Open. He tied the idea to the same kind of partnership that made Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage a reference point, then laid out the condition that would make it work: "But they're gonna have to respect each other, and right now they don't. And when you build a story, and you start with them working towards learning trust, which is what's happening at some point, one of them is going to have to relinquish power to save the other. And they're gonna be shocked like, 'You just tagged me?'"
That is a bigger swing than a simple tag-team pairing. Flair and Ripley are not just being pushed into the same frame; they are being asked to move from rivalry to trust, with the story built around who gives up control first. Henry said that if WWE goes all the way with it, the pairing could become a title-winning force on SmackDown and dominate the women’s division.
Ripley, Cargill, And WrestleMania 42
Ripley enters the picture as the WWE Women’s Champion, and her path runs straight through Jade Cargill at Clash in Italy. Ripley won the title from Cargill at WrestleMania 42, so the feud already carries championship weight before any alliance between Flair and Ripley turns into something larger.
Flair and Ripley have already had to function together in that feud, and over the last few weeks they teamed alongside Bliss against Cargill, B-Fab and Michin. That is the friction point in Henry’s idea: two rivals have been placed on the same side of the ring, but Henry said neither woman respects the other yet.
Alexa Bliss In The Crossfire
Henry did not hide who could lose ground if the story moves forward. "And guess who that's gonna hurt? Alexa Bliss," he said. He also drew the line from the fantasy booking to the payoff, asking, "We would get to see Savage and Hogan. Yeah, that's good. How many championships would they win?"
That leaves Bliss in the most vulnerable spot in the setup because she is already paired with Flair and has been part of the three-woman answer to Cargill’s side. Flair and Bliss are not currently advertised for Clash in Italy in Turin, Italy, on May 31, 2026, while Ripley’s title defense against Cargill is already on the schedule. If WWE follows Henry’s idea, the immediate shift would be from temporary cooperation to a much bigger alliance, and Bliss would be the first name pushed to the edge of it.
