Police sealed off the area around the toilets after the discovery. They also asked anyone with information to call 101 and quote reference 43260255904.

The location sits close to Banbury Cross, a 16-metre neo-Gothic monument in Banbury town centre. It was constructed in 1859 to commemorate the marriage of Queen Victoria's eldest daughter.
