Universal Pulls Hagrid's Express Pass on July 1, 2026

Universal Orlando will remove hagrid's express pass access from Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure at Islands of Adventure on July 1, 2026. The change ends the ride’s place in the program nearly a year after Universal added it on May 30, 2025.

Hagrid's Ride at Islands of Adventure

The attraction sits in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and opened in 2019. It measures nearly 1 mile in length and is the longest coaster in Florida, which helped make it one of the park’s biggest draws even before Express Pass was added.

Universal’s decision reverses a move that had been in place for nearly a year. During that period, Express Pass wait times for the ride could still stretch beyond an hour, and the addition increased standby lines.

Wait Times on Hagrid's Ride

The ride consistently draws some of the longest wait times in the park, with lines reaching 100 minutes. Before Universal added Express Pass, the attraction had previously been managed with a Virtual Line when crowds were high.

For guests planning a visit, the practical change is straightforward: after July 1, 2026, Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure will no longer be part of Universal Express. Visitors who had used the pass for this ride will need to rely on other access options available that day.

Universal Express and July 1

The timing gives travelers a clear cutoff to plan around. A ride that was briefly included in Express Pass and still drew waits of more than an hour will return to the regular access pattern after the July 1 change takes effect.
