Fire crews mobilise at Kosher Kingdom during Golders Green Fire
A golders green fire broke out at Kosher Kingdom on Golders Green Road in north London at 6.47am, drawing an immediate response near the junction with Beverley Gardens. The London Fire Brigade sent ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters to the supermarket, while residents were told to stay away from the area.
Kosher Kingdom and Beverley Gardens
The fire was reported at Kosher Kingdom, which the article describes as one of Britain’s largest Jewish supermarkets. Emergency services were at the store on Golders Green Road near Beverley Gardens as crews worked to bring the blaze under control.
A London Fire Brigade spokesman said: “A number of road closures are in place, including on Golders Green Road near the junction with Beverley Gardens.”
Six Forty-Seven Call Surge
The Brigade said it received the first of 33 calls about the fire at 6.47am. It also said control officers mobilised ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters from Finchley, Willesden, West Hampstead and surrounding fire stations to the scene.
“Please avoid the area whilst firefighters work to extinguish the fire,” the spokesman said. A 32-metre turntable ladder was also in attendance.
Golders Green Road Closures
The closures on Golders Green Road left the stretch near Beverley Gardens restricted while crews remained on site. For people trying to reach the supermarket or pass through the junction, the practical change was immediate: that route was closed off while the fire was tackled.
GB News contacted the Met Police for a comment. For now, the clearest advice for anyone in the area is the one the Brigade already gave: avoid Golders Green Road near Beverley Gardens until firefighters finish at the scene.
