Kamson Kamara Joins Hearts on Deal Until 2030

kamson kamara will join Heart of Midlothian on July 1 after signing a pre-contract deal that runs until 2030. The 20-year-old defender arrives when his Lincoln City contract expires, giving Hearts a long-term addition before pre-season begins.

Tynecastle Park Deal

Hearts said the move is for a deal until 2030, with Kamson-Kamara set to link up with his new teammates for pre-season. The club described him as a highly rated English centre half, and the signing gives Derek McInnes another defender in place before the summer window fully opens.

“We are delighted to announce the pre-contract signing of MJ Kamson-Kamara.” Hearts also said, “The highly rated English centre half will join the Jambos on July 1st following the expiration of his contract at newly promoted EFL Championship side Lincoln City.”

Glentoran Loan Record

Last season gives the clearest read on what Hearts are getting. Kamson-Kamara made 30 appearances and scored four goals during a loan spell with Glentoran, where Hearts said he helped the club to third place and into the UEFA Conference League first qualifying round.

That loan came after earlier senior spells at Barwell and Peterborough Sports, part of a path that started at Bromley before he signed professionally with Lincoln City in 2023. Hearts also said he was shortlisted for the Northern Irish Premiership's young player of the year award, which adds to the appeal of a defender they have moved for early.

Hearts Summer Changes

The signing is Hearts' second addition of the window after Josh McPake. It also comes at a time when the club is dealing with Lawrence Shankland's departure to Rangers and possible exits for Frankie Kent and Beni Baningime, making the timing of a long-term defensive move more important to the squad picture.

For Hearts, the immediate change is simple: a 20-year-old centre-back is committed through 2030 and scheduled to arrive on July 1. For Kamson-Kamara, the move turns a successful loan season into a step into the Scottish Premiership, with pre-season the first chance to settle in at Tynecastle Park.
